do more than "self-care" harder
therapy for adults who are neurodivergent
In-person (Toronto) and virtual psychotherapy (Ontario) is open to adults (18+) who identify as neurodivergent. This can include, but is not limited to, those with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, and others. As a psychotherapist who is twice exceptional (gifted + ADHD), I have lived experience with the difficulties of masking around others, managing sensory needs, and having to “tone down” my presence. When working with neurodivergent people, I allow them to come as they are, be it showing up to a virtual therapy session in pajamas, having a snack or non-alcoholic drink while speaking, or keeping their hands busy through knitting, crocheting, or even using fidget toys.
